It was really nice meeting or re-meeting all of you last night!
If you're seeing this, I've added you to the new neighbors(a)AFewLists.com
mailing list. If you send email to that address, everyone should get a copy.
If you want off the list and your mail program does not show you an
unsubscribe button, just let me know.
I'm going to invite folks I know on Lowden, Bay State, Liberty,
and Foskett, and maybe a friend on two on Hall, Kidder, and Willow.
If there's folks you want added, just let me know.
I'm hoping to see stuff about block parties, porchfest, the occasional
pizza party or bar-b-q, street work, contractor requests and
recommendations (or complaints!). If anyone has a catalytic converter
stolen I'd like to know, or if there's a particularly significant
community meeting, like the recent Davis Square tower proposal.
For those who aren't familiar with mailing lists as a form of social
media, some quick tips:
* A good mailing list has enough posts that people feel in touch and
remember it's there, but not so many that folks tune out. How much is
too much differs from person to person.
It's easy to create more lists; we can see how folks use this list
and adjust structure as needed so if folks want a separate list for
discussing home repairs or job hunting/networking or politics or
gardening or whatever, let me know.
* If you're overwhelmed by mail, there's a lot of tech available for handling
it that doesn't get talked about a whole lot, so if you don't know about
sorting mail into folders or muting threads, feel free to ask me.
